| A stress-free way to experience the attractions of the central city is to take a bus - the service is fast and frequent, the drivers friendly and helpful, and the stops close by. Hulverstone Lodge is well placed to provide access to all parts of Christchurch City, the airport and railway station, as well as main routes north and south, yet it offers a tranquil riverside haven. We look forward to sharing it with you. We have four guest rooms for you to choose from: The Avon Room, with queen bed and ensuite, features pale salmon walls and luxurious floor length drapes. This room faces north-east and overlooks the Avon River . From this room guests can watch the sun rise over the river ... or catch glimpses of the Southern Alps. The Garden Room, featuring blue decor, has a super king bed which may be split to make two extra-long singles. This room has views upriver, towards Christchurch's Port Hills, and onto our rose garden. It has its own spacious private bathroom. The Rose Room has a lovely smoky rose colour. Matching touch-lights with rose-patterned glass shades set it off beautifully. This room also looks over our rose garden and towards the Port Hills. As with the Garden Room the twin beds may be put together to make a king bed. The Rose Room has a guest-share bathroom. The River Room, is a charming single room facing the river .
